DMK Cosmetics - A New Dimension in Creative and Colour Corrective Makeup!

Does anyone know what it feels like to say “we have the best in the world” and know it is actually true?

Knowing this statement is true, is what lead DMK headquarters to develop a new division with DMK Cosmetics.

For decades many of you have asked me why I hadn’t created a makeup that didn’t interfere with advanced DMK treatments or products. My standard answer has always been, “makeup is an entire business on its own, and I didn’t want to take away from the DMK research to devote time to makeup - this would require an entire new division.”

Makeup and creating new looks for women was always a hobby of mine, I also had some very firm ideas about what type of makeup base I would create if I had to. And so I used to recommend Cinema Secrets, Joe Blasco, MAC and other top makeup ranges used by the professionals.

DMK Cosmetics Then, a few months ago we were approached by Tommy Parsons who showed us a very detailed prospectus on how a superior makeup base could not only enhance DMK clients, but could elevate the profit levels of DMK doctors, therapists and practitioners the world over.

Tommy Parsons has been a cosmetic formulator for over 30 years, working with Hollywood names such as Joe Blasco, Cinema Secrets and the film industry at large. Tommy is a keen research person who knows everyone, sees everything and misses nothing. He then acts upon his observations; this also makes him a wonderful speaker and teacher when it comes to makeup.

We hired Tommy to head up the new division in July 2009 and immediately he and I, along with some of the top chemists in the industry, worked together to create the world’s highest quality makeup base. The foundations are available in every shade of skin on the planet. One of the chemists was the original formulator of most of the popular makeup brands sold today.

DMK Cosmetics Tommy and I shared a vision of a foundation base that would not interfere with DMK skin revision treatments, and would be excellent as a corrective makeup for people who have scars, port wine stains and other skin irregularities. This makeup would also assistpost-surgery patients. We wanted a silicone base that had no oils, with high pigmentation that would cover any flaw, yet look and act like “a second skin” even in the brightest daylight. And we did it!

We have also formulated an occlusive gel that is applied after using DMK skincare products. It forms an invisible barrier that deflects lines and wrinkles and provides a healthy base for makeup to easily glide on like butter. There are other incredible attributes to our new base, such as not rubbing off on clothing easily, acting as a sun protection shield, easy to apply and stays in place for hours.

DMK Cosmetics Best of all, we have a top panel of Hollywood experts in the field of professional makeup that are doing all our practical application testing for us. This panel will be headed by Emmy award-winning Makeup Artist Brad Look, who represents the Makeup Unions in the film capital. Whenever we have a new product, shade or makeup idea, he will work with it in the studios first and then allow his feedback to influence our final decisions. In addition to Brad’s panel of experts we will also get feedback from top makeup artists all over the world. There is not a company in the world with this kind of access to expertise!

We are not offering a complete makeup range yet and as such we are truly building the foundations. The amazing foundations, powders and brushes will be first. Our packaging will be unique and our education very thorough. Each time we add a product it will be the very best.
