Skin Peels London Peeling the skin involves the application of a chemical exfoliate going into either the uppermost layers of the skin (epidermis) or the lower layers (dermis) for the removal of superficial lesions to improve the texture of the skin. Various acidic and basic chemical agents are been used to produce the varying effects of light to medium to deep chemical peels. The level of penetration, determines the level of peeling.

Stimulation of the epidermal growth through removal of the stratum corneum consists of a light superficial peel. Through exfoliation, it thickens the epidermis with qualitative regenerative changes, for a medium depth peel the product has to penetrate the papillary dermis. For deep peels the reticular dermis will increase new collagen production and ground substances will be stimulated.
